Default Random Orbital Tool

Has anyone tried the 3" Random Orbital from Griot's, and if so any recommendations / pros/cons? Small size might make sense for a motorcycle?

That looks great especially for the smaller surfaces on a bike.

The regular Griot's 6" dual action polisher over the 3".
The Griots 6" has a LOT more power.

I would suggest getting a 3" backing plate and pads for the Griots or the PC 7424.

The new 3" Griots works pretty good. More powerful than the old one. Here's what it can do.

This is the route I went.

Started with it for personal use and expanded to using it in my detailing business.

People are amazed at what I take outta their paint.

I've got a 6" Griots, its great. I'll probably wind up with the 3" if i see a deal on it.

Be sure you have the right counterweight with what ever pad size you use, most do however use the 6" CW with smaller pads with success however.

+1 on Autogeek great site. I got my GG from anything auto they usually have some nice percent off coupons making it the cheapest available.

Another site is Autopia.org check that out for more info also.

You would be better off getting a 3" backing plate for your GG 6" machine
The GG 3" machine does not have the power that the 6" machine does.

Just found this thread...question on using a random orbital. Are you using it with the parts on the bike or removing them? If removing, what are you using to hold the parts while you're using the orbital?

What "parts" are you referring to?
