no pics because you've all seen it, and most have done it. I had the 07 in the garage for about 48 hourswhen i removed the reflectors from the lowers last night. used the hairdryer floss method. i don't know if oral b floss sucks or what but it basically broke under the slightest cutting preassure. i ened up using some braided string i had, worked fine but left more residue than a thiner string (like floss) likely would have. hairdryer didn't get it all that hot either, don't know how much it helped
how'd you guys get your back reflectors off? will sawing with floss on flat black paint f-it up?
I used a heat gun that I used to use to heat up my hockey sticks to replace the blades. Gets REALLY hot, then I used fishing line. Took all of 5 mins and most residue off. Followed it up with some goof-off and nice and clean.
This just answered my question that I just posted on another thread.I ordered an 07 Dyna Wide Glide (Vivid Black) and will arrive here around May 25th. This was one of the 1st mods I wanted to do to it. Thanks for posting the info of how you did it. I am also having the Street Slammer handlebars installed on it before I ride it home! I am stoked. This is my 1st bike! These forums have really answered a ton of questions that I have had running through my mind!
Well, if you're like me and don't have any dental floss, grab some fishing line out of the tackle box. [&:]
Fishing line works great. If you take them off right after you purchase, they will peel off with a little bit elbow grease. Just make sure to protect the paint with some tape...

awesome man on the new bike coming !!!!!!!! post pics when u geter .
I did it the most retarded way ever.... 1 flat head screwdriver, 1 standard issue casino playing card. I used the card to keep the screwdriver from making contact with the lower fork and then broke off the reflectors. Following that level of stupidity i peeled the adhesive off with my fingers. Scratched my head and remembered that I probably had some left-over adhesive remover from a hospital visit last year. They fork sliders came out perfect.. Swear to god. The reflectors are still on in the picture.
I gotta go to the dentist............. used all my floss on the bike.
Actually, I heated mine up with a small compact hair dryer, popped right off (at about 10000 miles).
I suggest taking 'em off right away. Used some alchohol (rubbing) to get the goo off.
Somebody on the forum said they left theirs in the HD parking lot........ I think they were serious.
