I am trying to pick a seat for my 13 SB and could use some help. I want just a solo that is comfortable and does not move me back any. I like the looks of the Sick Saddle but have never seen one in person. I have always used Corbin or Mustang but on this bike I could use just a bit forward to help with the reach to the forward controls. So does anyone have a Sick Saddles seat that they can comment on? Any suggestions? Thanks
looking for style or comfort. i just bought the best seat i've ever owned for my '08 SG. used to have one on my vtx and loved it. never felt such a comfortable seat, you sit in it, not on it. try Ultimate seats. i bought my first on a recomendation, put 58,000 mile on that bike and it was just as comfortable as from the first day i got it in. your back and butt will be happy. like any seat they are'nt cheap, but well worth it.
I have a mustang solo wide tripper with the more forward option and a back rest. I also have a sick saddle. Both seats are nice. The sick saddle looks cooler, and is comfortable, but sits back farther. The mustang is very comfortable, sits you more forward, and with the back rest is a long distance seat.
So for barhopping, the sick saddle is on. For longer riding, the mustang.
i will be selling my mustang in a couple days, it has a backrest and a passenger pillion. new it's 600 total, i'm selling the total package for 450 plus shipping. my new seat will be here today. mustang will be up on here by sunday
Thanks guys, I am old and short so I'm looking for comfort. I wish I could sit on one of the mustang forward's but i don't have that option. I am ok with the stock placement but sure couldn't move back any. How much forward do you think the forward Mustang moves you over stock? Just a bit would be a big help.
I am middle aged and short. I bought the Saddlemans Heals Down Seat. Left me in the stock position or maybe a by more forward. I reach my highway pegs with no problem and it is a low profile seat with back support. I have had it a couple of years and no complaints at all.
The mustang probably puts you an inch or an inch and a half more forward than the sick saddle. The sick saddle sit farther back from the stock seat from my lowrider. My bike also has the reduced reach forward controls. That gives you another inch or so on the reach to the foot controls. For reference, I am 5'7" with a 30" inseam. With the mustang forward seat and the reduced reach forward controls, the bike fits me perfectly with some bend left in my legs when on the controls.
