Default Throttle body question

2006 Dyna Fxdli
96" Big Bore 9.8 1 compression
Ported and Polished Heads with 1.900 valve
Andrews 37 cam
25 degree injectors

Will changing my throttle body to 50 mm give me more performance or hurt me ?

Should only help, not hurt at all. The help will be concentrated in the higher rpms. I would just get your stock tb bored out by somebody like Dan Vance or splurge on a 51mm HPI, pass on SE unless you get some great deal.

You may pick up anywhere from 2-3 HP and 4-6 TQ. Not really very efficient cost wise for what you'll get in return. But it's your wallet. If you want more power, dump the Big Radius pipes and get a D&D Fatcat.

What were your intake runners cut to?

I ask cause you dont want to create a lip/wall where the manifold of the throttle body is bigger then having the runner of the head smaller. The SE t body is like 1.66-1.70, sorry don't remember exact, but stock 96" head runners are 1.610.

That I would say would hurt you by disturbing the flow. If the head runners are bigger than its ok you just don't want the opposite.

you and i are pretty much runing the same build! hahaha Our shop can port and polish your stock TB, i made a few changes when i did mine and upgraded to 25* injectors and 2-1 but i saw 8hp and 13tq raise with the above changes. but biggest thing i notice with our port and polish is the throttle response, so crisp! plus porting and polishing is about 1/2 of what it costs for the 50mm tb hahaha

as you can see we also powder coated it
