Default Got windshield installed

Picked up a used windshield off of Ebay, found a one bad clamp and ordered a cheap kit from Ebay as well and finally got it together today . Temps were only 20 degrees here so have to wait again for some warmer weather to try it out.

Easy install, doesnt look too bad

Installed my new Pingel petcock, also changed the line going to the carb for good measure. After some fiddling and what seemed like a gallon of 91 octane running up my armpit, she's back up and running with no fuel leaking onto the rear cylinder head. Now I can take it to get my new Metzelers installed sometime this week, hopefully...

Speaking of Metzelers - Just put a set of 888's on the Wide Glide with a 90/90 in front. Nice riding so far!

Oh man I thought you were going to powder your hubs? A lot of work but a big payout.

Replaced corroded aluminum fork sliders with new old stock oem chrome sliders and new seals/guide bushings. While in there, re-adjusted the Axeo suspension from 1 turn back down to 0 for a softer ride up front. Softened it maybe 20%.

Also, took the opportunity to clean, regrease and readjust steering head bearings.

And replaced the worn triple tree pinch bolts with new ones.

Haha, funny you should say that.So...Momma wanted black wheels/hubs on her bike.I found a set of black wheels/alum. hubs from a 2015 and bought them.Pulled the rear wheel apart, and powdered the hub, only to find out that they would not work with hers(06') w/o new spacers, bearings, etc.(bearing depth was different).....so it's already black.

So,since I had already ordered new bearings F/R for hers,I got to tear down BOTH of her wheels,as well as BOTH wheels I bought, and powder her original hubs and lace them to the black rims I bought.

So,NOW,in order to get her roadworthy before the weather gets too nice-and to ride her own, instead of my new SB which she has put more miles on than I have-I had to do hers first, and mine will take a backseat until I find more time to do my own.

Believe me when I say I am fully aware of the work vs. payoff on this little project.I have spokes and wheels, and hubs everywhere. But,as they say....if Momma ain't happy, nobodys happy. And she hasn't bitched at all about the $$$ I have already spent on mine since I bought it,so I'll just take my wins when I can.
Soon though
Coincidentally,the 15' hubs will fit on mine,so I already have 1 done.......now for the whole teardown/relace again

So,I guess this kinda belongs in this thread. Not what I did to mine, but HER Dyna.
