So i posted here a while ago about an 02 Fxdx that im interested in. Well life got crazy and i just got to talk to the dealer about the bike. It is as I said an 02 with 30000 miles with a stage 4 kit that make it a 103 motor! So here is my question, i dont know jack about Harley so is that mileage and that kit a huge concern or is the motor good for miles and miles. I already have them looking into the cam tensioners so what else should i be looking for or at when i go see and ride it. Thanks in advance. Rob
here is the link if it works
Ask the Dealer if he has a dyno sheet or any other documentation to back up the stage 4 story. Just by looking at the less than optimal AC and exhaust on the bike I'm saying he might not be truthful about that.

I was thinking the same thing. The a/c and pipes are not optimal for performance, and if basics like a/c and pipes aren't up to snuff, it's doubtful the rest of the engine is.
Gorgeous looking bike. The previous owner show's a restrained sense of taste; not a gaudy garbage wagon with a rash of $99 dollar accessories. The mufflers are S&S; those are good and the stock pipes with crossover aren't that bad. He probably wasn't the type who wanted to scream "look at me" thru the exhaust pipes; better tires, too...I'd be interested if I was in the market. HD will never make another big twin that handles like the FXDX/T's; guaranteed. (I know; this is gonna start up the antique FXR guys; but those EVO's are minimum 15 years old now)
thanks for all the replys....but what about the miles...even if it isnt a 103 and only a 88 0r 96 should i be concerned about the mileage?
Thanks again
Stock motor should be an 88. And with only 30k miles on it, it's good for a long, long while depending on the tensioners. Can't comment on the 103 kit as I have no experience. Nice bike tho.
