Hey guys im about to order my thunderheader for my FXDB and the instructions say to remove the clutch cover. just a quick question do i need to A get Fluids to replace when i take that cover off and do i B need to mess with the clutch cable at all. i wasn't sure when just removing the cover if you need to loosen the cable or not. well actually im not really sure about any of this so if anyone has some pointers that would be helpful
I was able to install my THeader with out taking the cover off. I used a long ball allen socket and just loosen the bolts and slide the bracket behind them. If I remember, its notched.

Is it one of those the bracaket uses like two bolts off the case? So should be ok just removing and putting them back real quick no need for anything?
Yes. Suggest you do transmission fluid at the same time. Drain tranny fluid, remove cover, install bracket, replace cover, install exhaust, refill tranny. Also a good idea to get a new clutch release cover gasket at same time.
No need to remove clutch cable, just the release cover. AntiSeize on the exhaust gasket helps them in too. Good idea to freeze them.

I am trying to get mine off now, so I can sand it down and repaint them. The BITCH of it for me seems to be the O2 sensors and those two bolts beneath the clutch cover!
As other above have said, you don't need to remove the cover. One bolt comes out all the way and the other just gets loosened a little. Slide the bracket in and tighten her back up. Done.
I've never heard of the freezer trick for the gaskets but I'll definitely give that a try next time the exhaust comes off.
