I needed 11" shocks
Just swapped out my FXDL stock 12" for a pair of full chrome 11" shocks. At 5'-4" with about a 27" inseam my 641lb bike was getting the best of me. In fact, last night getting ready for today's work I was unable to even walk my bike up or back to get it into workshop floor position. I had to have my 5'6" wife move it around for me!
With the new 11" shocks, I came off the jack and was able to walk the bike back into its parking spot all by myself!
As for the shocks, these are the 11" full chrome shroud shock off of eBay for $99.98 shipped. Of course I haven't ridden it yet but by God they seem hard as a rock! Well, stock was a little too soft and spongy for me anyway so Spring will tell.

Will you lower the front also to keep the rake & trail the same?
I also am vertically challenged!
Good luck
