I need to get another set of risers for my 16" apes.
I currently have 1" risers and 1" bars and I think I will get the same.
Im always having to tighten my riser bolts due to the bars moving on me. The threads are about shot, time for a new set of risers.
Any suggestions on brand or type I should look for?
Check the classifieds here or on Craigslist. Lightly used risers can be bought for cheap. I picked up these Paul Yaffe Alibaba risers on CL for $40 and they were in perfect condition and retail for over $200.
There are a few options to keep the bars from moving around in the risers. Sand paper, emory cloth, skateboard grip tape, set screw or pin. I personally wrapped my 16's with a couple little pieces of grip tape where the rest in the risers, tightened them down and they haven't moved since. I highly suggest you do get new/used risers (if yours are getting stripped) and do something to keep them from moving. Unstable bars are VERY DANGEROUS!!! Blue loctite too, get some and use it!
Let me know if you can't find any new risers cheap, I'd be willing to sell you my stock 2" risers at a decent price.

Cool no problem, I have them packed away in the attic but here is the best pic I could find of them. I believe they have "Harley Davidson" script on the top clamp but it's not visible in the pic. Just PM me if you want them.
