Spent a bunch of time the past couple weeks adding chrome and a couple other things to my 06 Super Glide. The list includes:
Chrome outer primary
Chrome lay-down license plate bracket
Rigid sideplates, sissy bar, and pad
Turn signal trim
Headlight trim
Axle nut covers (front and rear)
Forward controls
Foot pegs
Grips
Upper and lower belt guard
Cam cover
Transmission side cover
Low Rider seat
Switch covers
Coil cover
Voltage regulator cover
Kuryakyn 2" forward extensions (be here Tuesday)
Wide Glide front heat shield
Street Bob rear shocks
I spent two months this winter looking at it thinking about what I wanted to do to it. The more pics I saw of the SG Customs and Low Riders, the more I like the look. Then the upgrades started.
Thanks for not busting on me after I wore out my check card.
Are you getting any of your stuff from www.zanottis.com ? They have killer prices. My local dealer gives 10% for the local HOG'rs and Zanotti's beats that with shipping included in the order. Just make sure you make a multiple item order. Also, on some of your bigger ticket chrome items (primary, calipers, swing arm) see if your dealer will give you a core discount. The dealer I go to gives up to $100 on exchanges for chrome.
I bought a couple items from a local dealership. Most of it came from eBay and guys on the forum. Its all Harley OEM except for the Kuryakyn forward extensions.
i'd suggest a rear chrome sprocket cover to match the belt guards, it's a nice touch... and, chrome clutch/brake levers also... small details like that i dig. the rest looks sweet, man.
