Any one have an older (99-05) FXD and upgraded the swing arm to one of the 06 and up FXD swing arms?

 

Why would an 06 be an upgrade? I upgraded my 01 to a Sputhe aluminum arm; now that's an upgrade...

 

Sharkey: I agree that the Sputh or Trac Dynamic alum arm would be a better up grade. And for my 03 thats what I am planning. I was asking for a buddie who has a swing arm from an 08 laying around and a 2000 FXD.

 

the spacer and bearings are a larger inside diameter than the pre 06 swingarm pivot bolt. If you want to use the 2008 swingarm on the older tranny and pivot bolt you would need to modify the bearings and right hand spacer to a smaller diameter
