Default Ignition Key

Good Evening Everyone,

So just replaced battery a few weeks ago. Went for a ride and accidentally left ignition key on. So battery died. I charged up again but still won't start up. I have a 2008 street bob. Does anyone know if they have to be reset or anything I'm missing? Thanks

If you left the ignition on and completely drained the battery down to nothing, it's toast. Time to buy another battery and chalk it up to a lesson learned. Make sure that the bike is OFF.

One of the worst things you can do is drain it completely down. Maybe they will warranty it, may not want to mention you killed it though. They can test it also.
Is it charged? What I mean is did you actually check to see if it has juice? Had a fuse blow in the tender connector and left it plugged in for a day. Nothing...thought the battery was bad and went to install another and found the fuse. Replaced it then the battery charged up fine.

Along with your new battery (it was probably time for it anyway) you should invest in a battery tender, and keep it hooked up when the bike is parked.
