Ok I bet this has been asked before but one more time won't hurt !! To all the Bob owners and Lowrider people.. What if anything did you have to do to your kickstand after putting on 11 inch shocks on the rear... I'm just about to bolt mine on this Thursday.... The dealer changed my shocks to full cover 12's...... I don't think he heard me when I said 11's..... So he did refuse to install the 11's for some reason..... Thanks.......... Ok all you 11's guys please reply......
i agree with this if you wanted 11s and paid for them you need to get 11s . what did the paper work say. i would not care what the dealer wanted or didnt want to do its not there bike anymore .. you pay high dollars as the dealer you better get what you ask for
Harley sells a side stand with a different bend that works with 11" shocks. The part number is 49704-90B. I just lowered my wife's Lowrider and installed one on her bike. Cost for the stand, $87.68.
I bought my 07 Low rider and had the dealer lower the suspension. They too put on the shorter kickstand... and the bike has very little lean when on the kickstand. The next attempt is to heat it and just bend the crap out of it. For the past 3 weeks, I've been very careful where I park it, and then I leave my helmet on the left hand mirror for some extra weight. Somebody didn't think the kickstand problem through in my opinion.

seriously.....!!
uh...if your helmet is heavy enough to make that much difference then you REALLY need to go shopping for a new helmet!!!!
just watch how you park it. i've never had a problem. it's really not that big a deal.
and if you ordered 11's.....then go back and demand your 11's.
I want every extra ounce I can get. The bike's 3 weeks old, and I really don't want to walk away from it and hear it go down. I'd hang a concrete block off the handlebar but it might look just a little strange riding down the road with that bunged to the luggage rack!!
Hey Burple - I checked HD's sitefor that part number and it doesn't exist? Is it on their site?
I put 11s on my scoot, ended up with a shorter stand from J&P and the damn thing rusted to hell and really looks bad.
Thanks for any info.
