Ok, here us my situation. As I have posted before, I have a 2007 FXD that I picked used from a guy who had not ridden it 250 miles in the last 2 years. I knew there would be some issues to take care of but one has me vexed.
Here is a list of what I have done on the bike so far. I have changed all fluids, spark plugs, spark plug wires, AC changed (it has a 2015 Street Bob stock set up on it), changed the breather tubes, changed all fuses, added Cycle Shack MS-129 slip ons, changed the fuel filter, the pressure regulator, the fuel hoses in the tank are all changed to the Gates hose, added FuelMoto (Power Commander III), remapped the fuel for the ac and slip ons, reset the throttle position, cleaned all contacts and sensors that I could reach with sensor cleaner.
Now the problem that I can't get fixed is that at random times the bike will stumble and miss. It is somewhat like the Dyna stumble but it will occur at idle as well. I have been taking careful track of when it does it and I have not been able to discern a pattern. Sometimes it occurs when the throttle is a lower rpm and constant such as when you are cruising. Sometimes a little stumble around a corner, sometimes when its cold, sometimes when it is hot.
So anyone have any thoughts on where I should be looking to cure this?
Have you tried some fuel injector cleaner? Possibly a bad fuel mapping. Was it dyno tuned? Also, GBR.
I forgot to mention that yes I have tried the cleaner too. I have had a phone conversation with the Fuel Moto tech to verify the map as well. No, it has not been dyno tuned.
