Mat, I believe the term is Gaiters. At least that's what they were called on my 1970 Triumph Tiger. Gators is what we have down here in Florida as in the biting variety. I put mine on by first unbolting the brake caliper and tying it safely out of the way to the frame. Then , I loosened the fork pinch bolts, jackedup the bikewith my bike lifthigh enough so the front end could just clear the clamps (have a buddy hold/catch the front end.. I did it solo, it was a little dicey) and then I slipped the Gaiters on from the top. Be sure that when you lift the bike you have support under the back tire to compensate for the loss of balance when you remove the front end. Then push the front end back into the clamps, tighten the fork pinch bolts and put the caliper back on. Took me about 30 minutes and 2 beers.
Thanks Zippo ... they look great on yours with the seat too ... nice look.
I'm undecided so far for mine.
Triumph would call them Gaiters ... being English and all
Cheers !
