I can't find the thread this morning.... but I read the answer on a suzuki savage forum in regards to using sporty shocks on RYCA cafe racer conversion of Savage. The bushing sizes and differences between what was required for HD shock mount (SAE) and Savage (Metric) was explained. Including what to ask for at an autoparts store.
I have an FXDX, Roadster, and Savage. I liked the Roadster change to HD air shocks so much I thought about changing the FXDX and using the FXDX shocks on the Savage. The thread I mentioned above had the entire explanation of what was required including the procedure changing the bushings. Sorry I can't track back to it.
