I hope the pic comes through, I'm lame with attachments. I bought this bike with the air cleaner you see already on it. Does anyone recognize it? Is it a hi performance type? The ks for any help. I looked in HD catalogs but did not see it.
If you really want a 100% sure answer you'll probably need to pull the cover off and take a picture of the backing plate without the filter on it, but it looks like it is from this picture.

That AF set-up can easily be used for beyond stage 1, it's supplying more free air flow then the bike can use.

I take it back,, that Dark One cover plate is the limiting factor,, it should be "Ride Free" to get the best air flow!

So you're saying the filter is what makes it high flow and you don't need to look at the backing plate to make sure? By all means, consider me educated!

That is correct, the filter is the limiting factor once you have an open air cleaner setup. The backing plate may have some features that can change how the flow into the motor occurs ( the Doherty setup comes to mind) but you have to get the air to it first.
