Default S E intake

Just installed a new S E intake and all good ... but one thing... its a lot louder now...any thoughts on why ?

Intake valves make a lot of noise too. Freer breathing also means more noise gets out! In high school we used to flip the filter covers on our old Detroit cars just for the cool intake growl.

I modified the air cleaner cover of my diesel V.W. and it made it growl. I suppose it would work that way with a v twin.

The intake side also has pressure waves which make noise. The stock intake has enclosures and baffles which reduce this noise.

What you're hearing is a lot more air getting sucked into the intake, so it's normal to hear that. You can always get louder pipes to drown it out.
