Well, after 20 years wearing HD jackets and cheap 99.00 dollar leather jackets, I have finally pulled the trigger and laid down some serious cheddar and bought a Vanson leather jacket. Made to order, so it will be a while before I see it but I was so excited I had to tell someone. I will post pics when it comes in.

 

Vanson makes nice stuff. I have two race suits from them. Very tough and slide very well. You may have to stay on top of them to get your stuff on time. My last from them kept getting delayed only to show up race day a couple of hours before it was time to get on track.

What jacket did you get?

 

Vanson does make high quality gear, from what I hear they have a warehouse sale couple times a year. Worth the trip if your local.

 

It is a nice trip to see how they do things. They have significantly reduced the size of their operation over the years but it is still interesting. Should be heading down there in the new few weeks myself to get a new jacket hopefully Some neat history inside.

 

i lean on schott. i have a 641hh, a 141, and a 654.

 

Vanson's are bad ***. Don't see them much in SW Florida. When my Reed wears out I'll look at Vanson.
