I have an '07 Superglide and I want to replace the front fender something bad, but before I do I want to put the widest tire I can on there so I can make sure I get a fender that's wide enough. I'd like to keep the stock wheel at this point, what's the widest tire that will safely fit it?
when I replaced mine I was told you can go just one size wider on the factor wheel, stock is a 100/90/19 so 110/90/19? I always get the numbers confused but like I said, one size wider.
I saw a guy on Instagram put a 120/70 on his 19" wheel but he hadn't found a fender yet. Looks like this guys put 120/70-19 on the front. I think it looks good. No idea how it affects handling.

One thing to note is that the 120/70s are designed for a 3.5 inch rim.. When mounted on a 2.5 inch rim they are narrower than the 110.. I ran a few Bridgestone Excedra 120/70-19s on my DX with 2.50x19 rim.. Last set I changed over to a bridgestone T30 110/80-19.. It's a good tire.. For 110/90-19 the only tire I found that didn't have ***** on it was the BS Excedra.. I run it on a softail with DX forks to get the highest profile possible.. Mainly for cornering clearance..
