A Different Vibration
Today while riding the bike on the hard side, (14 Fat Bob, stock motor (103) with V&H FP3, a D/K high flow AC and a set of V/H 3" slash cut slip-ons), I notice a weird vibration while riding the bike up to the 6200 red line. At around 3800 to 4400 rpm I can feel a distinct vibration in the foot pegs and hand grips. Beyond the 4400, the (Buzzing) feeling goes away. I don't stay in that rpm range, it only happens between the low and high. I hope I explained myself well enough. Any idea on what might be happening? I checked for loose nuts and bolts on the exhaust and the bike as a whole, found nothing even remotely loose.
When you start feeling a weird vibration in the stratosphere of the RPM range I'd be looking at my fueling and ignition timing; I doubt you'll find that issue in a loose nut or bolt...
Thanks TinCup. What am I looking for with the fueling and timming? The bike pulls hard all the way to around 5500. It's just within that 38 to 4400 range I am feeling it. When I installed the FP3 I used the one and only map that was suggested.
