Default Advice Needed: How to remove black rubber marks off Black Ceramic Exhaust

Hi all, I'm looking for advise on removing black rubber marks off of black ceramic coated 2-Bros exhaust. I took my bike to a local indy shop for my 1k service and they must have rubbed their latex gloves against the exhaust by the oil cap (inside curve of exhaust). I now have some black rubber marks on my black exhaust.

Any advise on how to remove these marks. I've searched and really only see advise on removing marks from raw stainless or chrome pipes, not black ceramic coated.

The key is to get the pipes warm but not hot; hit the areas with some WD-40 and carefully rub the areas with a black piece of cotton cloth. An old t-shirt works well. The pipes are at the right temperature if the WD-40 smokes but doesn't flash off the pipes.

And, now you know why you do your own work No one will care for your ride like you will...

I agree with TCC... Mine is stainless, not ceramic, but I've gotten a few marks on it (boot heels, melted plastic funnel, etc...).

I let the pipe cool about halfway from running temp, then I use very fine steel wool with WD-40. Almost everything comes off...

Thanks for the replies. I called up 2-Bros as well and they suggested heating the pipe and trying to use a damp cloth on the melted latex/rubber. I'll try wd40 as well.

I agree about doing the work myself and I always do...just wanted a paper trail for the 1k service. Worst case I could always get the one pipe recoated if it bothers me during the off season.

Magic eraser, steel wool, and mothers R3 are all popular methods for removing melted substances from the chrome finish. Good luck!

Any other suggestions for ceramic coated pipes? Mine are black ceramic coated...so I can't use anything abrasive

Yep. I had to remove some Doc Marten that my wife was wearing, off a brand new Titanium Yosh. Warmed it until it began to smoke, and hit it with PBBlaster and a microfiber. Got almost all the stains off that titanium, and that stuff stains like no other!
