Thinking LED lighting to replace the single lamp...There are quite a few out there, what's the best bang for the buck? I mean yea..Could add a candle to my helmet but that'd highlight my ugly bearded mug l
I was serious about the Silverstar.
LED's are costly, there are aftermarket Daymaker knock offs from China some guys are happy with, some are not.
What are you running for a headlight 7" or 5 3/4"?

nah. an led h4 cost about 17-70 depending on source. my sporty is back to the led H4. works well. before the i went led i was running the hd high performance bulb... way better than stock. just don't know what it really is. i bet osram
The Silverstar is just a higher wattage bulb. Not all H4 direct replacement LED's work well do to the reflector fluting.
He was looking for a cheap upgrade.
Check out Amazon.com. Look for Opt7 LED for motorcycles. H4 direct plug in and 3400 lumens! I bought a pair for my 07 Dyna & the Wife's 04 Sportster. I LOVE it, she LOVES it. AWESOME lighting. The small power supply fits very tightly in the headlight shell. Cost - $50 each and well worth it. Also a VERY WHITE, BRIGHT light in the day light.
