Default 1995 Wide glide

Looking for any info on stock/original paint... Recently bought my 95 wide glide from original owner. Have recently noticed my paint design (gas tank) differs from all the other factory 95 wide glide. Mine is 2 tone compared to the 1 tone. Graphics is also different. Have only found 3 other bikes with same design as mine. Anyone know if this was some type of factory options. First pic is mine and second is typical 95 wide glide design. Any info would be great..Thanks

14,000 original miles. Everything still stock except a few basic cosmetic upgrades I did recently

Left over from 94 or new from 96 , be glad that you don't have a cookie cutter and it is a little different , that's a H-D trademark to change things . People used to blame that stuff on AMF but it's all H-D 's doing before AMF and afterwards.
I've got a'80 Tour Glide first year and supposed to have a shark nose on it even parts people say so but mine does not , no fairing at all
That's H-D

That's what a friend thought too but 94 and 96 are different than mine as well. Yes, I really like that it's unique from all the others. The couple ones I seen that was similar was found on the internet after searching through lots of 95 wide glide pics.

It's was a special maybe mid year Harley paint set only in 95. It looks purple but called moon glow blue . Pretty rare I have one . I seen a 95 deluxe the same color but that's it. I wouldn't pay more for it but it's not common and the girls love the color

Thanks..That's what I'm starting to find out. Guy at local HD shop has been nice enough to try and find some info out. One of his contacts responded back with some info on a 95 dyna with same paint. Seems it was a special order/limited edition type thing. Wasn't sure on the color name so thanks for that info. Still waiting on his other contacts from around the HD world to get back in touch. Nice having something that's different from all the others. Getting it dirt cheap was also nice ($1,500 and a couple guns). Thanks again for the info

More details...It was 1 of the 4 Custom Stock paint designs available only for 1995. Paint and decal was exclusive and only available for custom stock paint upgrades when ordering motorcycle. Pic I included is from HD shop manual from that year

Wow great price. I paid 7k for mine a few years ago. It was $16,500 when new and the guy waited a year and was on a list then one day got a call got a call 1 wideglide was coming in. He slept in the parking lot in line to get his bike . He had a cam installed and shaved heads plus the other things . I seen him riding around town and I asked to sell every year for about 5 years then the last time I asked he said yes. But would t budge off 7k
Keep me posted if you get more info. I never could really find much . Thanks

Cash and trade I got it for around $2200. Have had it about a month and slowly upgrading things here and there. It sat for a few years before I got it. Changed out all the fluids, filters, plugs and old gas, took carb off and cleaned out. Put in new gas and battery and she fired right up after sitting couple years. Nice looking one you have there. Like the drag pipes. Did you have to rejet the carb any or was they already on there when you got it. When I get more info back on the bike I'll post. Hopefully get the production numbers for the custom stock paint.
