Thundermax help!
Recently installed thundermax on my 2011 wide glide. Have the pigtail in fuse box for easy access. My problem is that I can't keep the link when I turn the bike on. I am able to with bike not running (With run switch on and ignition on). I was able to load my basemap and initialize. BUT as soon as I turn the bike over I lose the link for monitoring. And it won't connect. Keeps saying driver need to be reinstalled which I did. Just acting crazy anytime the bike is running idle. Hoping someone here could point me in the right direction or may have experienced this
Just call Zippers, they’ll help you through it. I have had no problems with my Tmax as of yet, and it makes the bike run Sooo good. Worth the extra money over the PV, of which I have owned three.
+1 on contacting Zippers, but a couple of things to look at just in case.
I have an older TMax with a pigtail for connecting to it. There is a ground wire in the same small harness as the pigtail. If you have that pigtail, check to be sure it's grounded properly.
Also, probably a better shot, I had several problems with Zippers drivers on my laptop. I finally uninstalled and reloaded the software without the driver. The software complained the first time out, but somehow found the standard USB driver for my Laptop. After that no more problems.
