I just got my serial port to usb adapter today and when i plug it into my usb port on my computer it tries to install the driver and it says that it cannot be installed... I cant link my computer to my thundermax and I dont know what else to do>? Anyone had this problem or know what to do>?
Turn the virus protection OFF in your computer . Your computer thinks it's being attacked from the T-Max , and therefore wont allow the two to link . If you are using Norton , you should have a small Icon on the lower right corner of your screen . Click on it and turn it off .
What version of windows are you running? what is the exact error message? It could be that the driver is not comaptable with that version of windows? Is your version of windows 32 or 64 bit?

You can send an email but I find it's quicker to get them on the phone. Call 410-579-2828, get extension 120. That's Randy and he should be able to help.
Make sure you have the latest program download from their website ... had me panicked for overnight when I first set mine up .....
p.s. with my USB adapter, the program can't find the USB port ... I have to go to "configure" menu and "select com port" and change from automatic to com port 4 ... that's where my usb routes to ... you might have to check your setup and see if that is a potential issue for you ....
