I am running a set of Rush slip-ons on my 09 SG. They have the 2" baffles. I noticed I had the option of removing the rear baffles. Other than making it louder, will I loose power due to reduced back pressure. Also would it potentially cause other problems? I have the stock air breather and no stage one kit.
I read that 1.75 are the best baffle for stock and intake mods. You need some back pressure otherwise you lose bottom end performance where you ride most of the time.
I'm not sure what you mean by rear baffles, there is one baffle in the slip on.
Removing the baffle will probably make it sound obnoxious.
HD exhausts are so short they are all bad, putting free flow exhaust on makes them worse, maybe noticeable. Did you notice the changes from these slip ons? Removing the baffles will make them flow more air, helps high rpm horsepower but hurts bottom end, maybe you'll notice maybe not. It won't hurt anything.
