Hello all, I'm currently scheduled to get a dyno done on my 2016 lowrider. It's a long story on how I have come to getting a dyno tune done. In a nut shell I had bad luck with fp3 tuner and said screw it im getting it dyno'ed. I have cobra speedster pipes and S&E stage 1 intake. I was curious to see how many dyna owners have dyno tuned their ride? And if you have had yours dyno'ed do you recommend getting it done. I'm asking because I'm ignorant to this subject and wanted some feedback before I have it done on the 21st. Thanks.
I didn't want to go to the dealer either but I expressed my concerns to the writer (my wife works for the dealer so everyone knows me) and told him I was afraid it would run lean like they do from the factory. He assured me they would tune it to my expectations and also mentioned that because I have a power vision, they can tune it however I want. He said if I had a HD tuner it would be a different story. I figured it's worth a shot since I do trust these people.

Dealer would be the last place I'd go - they must stay within EPA guidelines
You want the bitch tuned..., and rockin max performance / efficiency - which will also provide max cool running
Ghost
Only if they use the latest HD Street Tuner tuning device, because that device is limited.
BTW, do you really believe the dealer tuners care any more about the EPA laws than you do?
A dynomometer is just a measurement system. Put the same dyno equipment in the hands of two different operators/tuners/technicians and you'll get two different results.
A good technician with plenty of time and a strong familiarity with both the engine and tuning software/hardware will make a sizable difference in the outcome.
Two things:
1- Not all dyno technicians are equal. Get recommendations from locals as to who is "The Man".
2- My independent shop won't allow me to waste money on a dyno tune without changing the cams also. He says it will REALLY make a big difference over the stock cams.
