I'd like to see someone make an aftermarket brushed-stainless version of that black gauge trim. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Chrome brushes up pretty decent if they sell a chrome one. Lots of meticulous elbow grease, but it works. Gray scotchbrite and/ or 200-400 grit emery cloth. Start high/fine and see how you like the finish and step down slowly until you get a look you like. Hard to go back once you make deep scratches. The chrome is thin and laid on top of copper, so be very careful to avoid convex edges.

That's disappointing. I figured there would be a chrome or leather upgrade. That plastics seems so out of place.

What year is the bike you're looking at because from the tank photo you posted, there should be a chrome version available for it.

I think 2005-2009 was chrome, 2010+ is plastic crap...it's really the only thing I don't like about my bike.

Unfortunately the 2005-09 chrome bezel has a weird switch on the side, the plastic one does not.

What I should do is buy a 2005-2009 chrome dash and use the side switch for a little NOS
