Default Mag wheels

Hey guys!
I'm new to the wheel game and have some questions! I have a 06 street bob with spokes and really want to replace these with some oem hd mags. On this year hd starter with the 49mm forks. Is it possible for me to use wheels that comes from a 39 mm forks? I just want to go with something easy without changing spacing and bearings size, just a quick swap! Ideas?

Just get mags from the same year dude. straight swap.

If you buy an off year you'll have to make sure the axle fits, and then space it out.

I got an offer from a guy who owns a low rider s, that's why I asked.
Some of the models have to be multi fit right?

Your 06 has different axles and bearings size. The low rider s has 25mm axle. Not sure if the spacers would be the same but I believe so. Your axle is however just a bit bigger (1 inch). And you may be able to have a machine shop bore out the lrs wheels a hair. Not sure on that either. I would pull up Ronnie Harley parts finder, look up both bikes and compare parts numbers on the spacers.

Man the 2006 Dyna has 1 inch and I think it was 2007 and up they switched to 25mm.

Short of the story is no, 2006-2017 would not be a straight swap. It's not much of a difference, but it is a difference. You would have to find the right size bearings with the correct outside diameter to fit the hub and correct inside for the axle. I'm guessing that wouldn't be easy, so that's a pain later down the the line when you need bearings.

Then you'd have to get different spacers and possible line up the caliper differently.

I'm pretty sure 06 and 07 dynas have 1inch axles. 08 and up 25mm. But correct, definitely not a straight swap.

dude the outside diameter of the bearings might be the same. if that's true all you would have to do is swap bearings and you'd be good to go. I just don't remember. I went down this road with my wife's 06 dyna when we still had it.

I bought a wheel bearing removal/installation tool so I could do it myself. If you do that don't forget to put the axle sleeve back in

I don't know about sportys dude.

but for the dyna swap just see about axle size. if it's different see if you can swap bearings and axle sleeve.

good luck.

'06 & '07 have 1" axles. '08 & up have a 25mm axle. You need to change the bearings. You can't use '06 or '07 bearings because they are wider. You can replace the bearings in the wheel with some 1"x52mmx15mm bearings available at a good bearing supplier. I changed my '07 Dyna Superglide rear wheel for a Fatbob wheel doing this swap.
