Default Sissy bar issues

So I think the Harley stealership gave me the wrong sissy bar. The width is way too wide for the detachable side plates and won't mount to the bike. I've been looking around for the width dimentions for a sissy bar for a 2007 dyna and can't find anything. Do any of you guys happen to know? I'm pulling my hair out over here trying to get this mounted. Thanks in advance
