So concerning the new Softail lineup, i only have one question...will that inverted fork for the '18 FatBob fit on my '15 LowRider?...anyone know?

OP, too early to say for sure. once the microfische becomes available, we'll have a better idea.

My best guess, not easily.

Motorcycle Metal can sort you out if you want inverted forks on you current ride, tho.

 

New frame... highly unlikely.

I hope the moderators move all these 2018 softail threads to the softail section.

 

Stopped by the HD dealer today and took a close up inspection of three of them. They only had 3 - Fat Bob, Fat Boy and Breakout. I couldn't test ride they were still in the back getting prepped for the showroom but since they took me back to look (being one of their good customers!)

Overall I'm a lot more impressed after getting to see and touch them. One of the guys who works there took the Fat Boy for a spin and when he came back had a big smile on his face. He said it handles beautifully, had excellent balance and plenty of power. I actually liked the looks of Breakout the best of the three. The Fat Bob looked the most metric-like, but it did have dual disks and inverted forks which put it high up on my criteria. The headlight was a bit rectangular but I could get used to it. I doubt many Low Rider owners would buy a Low Rider without dual disks up front.

I'll be back for a test ride in a week or so.
