Default DIY inverted front end softail

Hi im new to the forum and im thinking of switching my stock front end with an inverted one....here it is im oing to cnc the tripple trees to the required specifications.can any one tell me what japanese bike forktubes will be the same length with the stock ones im also thinking of adding some rake....can i also extend the forks...i was thinking of using ones of a kawasaki zx9-r they are 46mm ...........im kinda stuck.....someone also told me i can use fork tubes fromn a dirt bike too....

Sport bikes weigh 450lbs and dirt bikes weigh 200lbs i dont think it will be a quality ride

Op... i've thought of using those, but like Trust said not designed for hd weight. You can have trees made and tubes made that are adjustabled valve just like sports bike but wont be cheap. here are a couples of sites to get your mind going...

I finally settled for a Mean Street inverted frontend it handles very very well.

Yeah the thing is if i order a ready made one from the states its firstly ginna vost me double..taxes and customs are a pain in the *** in Greece (with the current crisis) so im gonna have toake mine .no way im gonna spend 2000 $ an more on a front end..plus i made one for my previous build using r-6 yammaha inverted front end...the thing is with a softail its totaly diffrent my Previous build was a 97 sporty...

But how about sport bike front end?

Sounds like a lot of work to save some cash, but if that's how you want to do it right on. Look at some of the larger sport bike front ends like Busa or ZX14. Check out some of the metric cruisers too like the mean streak. they have inverteds and they are high weight bikes so they would be better suited for this endeavor.

How long should the forks be ? And how big in diameter.....?

What about using the fork off a Suzuki M109R? It weighs over 750lb, so you're in HD territory for sure. Also has dual, radial caliper mounts which is nice if you decide to run dual disc up front.

I'm running the Harley Davidson uprgrade Marzocci's on my bike. They are 35" top tree to the bottom of lower. They have just under 8" between the uppers. Not sure if that helps.
