I don't understand all the Bashing about the 2014 Bikes
Very Samlpe you Dont like Them don't buy one
If somebody Got one good for them it's their Money
If I had it I will also Get a New Limited
Can we just get along and respect everybody's choice
That's what I love America you are able to do what ever you want
If you ride long short or what ever you are my Brother
It's all about respect and choices.
And that's all Folks
The only thing I dislike is right now it seems like a trial. In the next year or two if they go full water then you have a possible ba$tard bike. Everybody jump on the new craze. I'm glad people purchased the bike so everything can go wrong on them and we can get one with all the bugs worked out later.
In America we can also voice our opinions. I would never bash someones bike, but I can and have voiced my opinions about HD's offering in 2014. It's an open playing field.
Now if you should buy a new 2014 HD I again would not come here and tell you that you F3#2** Up...no way...but if someone posts that they saw the new ones.....and posted thier opinion about what they saw, I may post what I thought about what I saw at the dealership...good or bad..because that's my opinion...
No, we should not bash or make someone feel bad about a purchase...
It seems to be more so on the 14s perhaps because of the changes. Was it like this in 09 with the new frame? I did not observe until 2010 I went from a 98 wide glide to a 10 street glide.
I for one love change as long as its market driven. With the new indian coming harley can't afford to sit still to long. If I didn't just buy a 2012 I would look real hard at a 2014 or the new Indian. All you dumb asses that don't like change, there are a lot of used bikes for sale. Thats my opinion, I could be wrong.

Competition is always good for the consumer. I would love to see more American manufactures vying for HDs market share. It would affect pricing and increase the speed of innovation. It would also hopefully have an impact on HD's "we're the only game in town" attitude. I think the competition would be humbling and beneficial to all.
Bash away, that's your right. All I will say is my new SGS is a great handling bike with plenty of torque, rides much better than '11 ever thought about, and, it has some great technology. Oh yeah, it is still air cooled.
I think bashing of new bikes comes out from simple jealousy... JMHO
Jealousy I could walk into the local HD stealership and walk out with any bike I wanted... but I don't because they don't have one I want. Apparently others disagree.... good for them, but don't go putting people down by suggesting they don't ride new because they can't afford it.

I don't think it's so much that people can't afford it. It's fear. The 14s drop and instantly more than a few people with a 13 and below think their bike is no longer relevant... which is completely wrong thinking.
My take anyway. And this happens every new year. Even if there was no change between years. Funny to watch. The 14s with all the changes was just over the top and more than most could bear - composure was lost, and people are down right emotionally disturbed over it. Again... funny to watch.
