I am new to HD and have an 05 Dyna Super Glide FXD/I that I'd like to put some work into specifically a 1/4 fairing or similar. It has 39" forks and speedo and tach gauges on the handlebars. Does anyone have a recommendation for the fairing and mounting kit? Also, I'd like to raise the bars/tree maybe 6" any thoughts. See pics
No recommendations for a 1/4 fairing, but I will mention those gauge clusters can be a hassle when trying to mount certain fairings or windshields. I'm certain there are plenty out there for it, but it may take some trial and error.
As for raising the bars, a simple 4-6 inch riser swap should get you what you want without having to change cables or brake lines.
thanks for the suggestion, i was thinking the same about the risers, do you suggest pull back or straight up risers? also if not a 1/4 fairing do you have a suggestion?

Risers- I think that would be a personal preference type thing. Do you feel you need the pull back? I personally prefer the look of pullbacks, however that adds length, so you'd have to calculate that into the equation for your cables and brake line. Have you considered T-bars? The riser is built in and most have a pullback as well. Plus they come on a full range of heights ranging from 4-6 inches up to 14 or 16 inches or more.
Fairing- I've never installed one on any of my bikes, I always run a quick detachable windshield. Easy on, easy off in a matter of minutes. My Electra Glide had a full size batwing fairing and I really liked it, it blocked almost all wind and even blocked moderate rain. There are Batwing style fairings for the Dynas, but like Jackie said earlier, I feel like Dynas look weird with a big fairing. A 1/4 fairing looks good on most Dynas Ive seen them on.

I was going to direct you to the good old HD 1/4 fairing but I guess they stopped making them, you can see what I'm talking about on my bike below.
