Photos of your bike?

What's your budget?

What are your goals?

I think I mostly am after reliability and want some juice behind the throttle, not looking to race the bike but not be at WOT on the freeway trying to keep up. Budget wise of course I'd like spend less rather than more, but somewhere around 2k (not including wheels).

Done the 88" a few times; heads really benifit from porting on the 88's. Have always used CV's; the Mikuni's make more difference in your bank balance than on the dyno. Add some S&S 585 E-Z starts; then you won't need compression releases or starter system upgrades and you won't suffer kickback. All on top of some 95" pistons at 10.5:1...
Optimum use of an 88" engine I think. You got a great bottom end that shouldn't be touched if it doesn't need to be

The '99 I used to own had the heads ported and polished, with bigger Manley valves installed with SE springs. SE cams. Mikuni flat-slide carb. Stock jugs bored to 95", with SE flat-top pistons. RB Racing 2-1 exhaust. Had about 2500 in it...
