I rode my new 2006 Dyna Super Glide Custome home from the HD dealership and was supprised at how hot the engine got. I have always rode Sportsters and never notice the engine getting overly hot. Is this expected on the Dyna Glide? Or should I be concerned?

Totally normal with the TC88. Keep in mind too that the FI TC88 (standard on the '06 Dyna) has a 3-stage heat management system (page 92 in your owner's manual). While you may feel heat radiating from the engine while in slow or stop/go traffic, the engine's internal temp should be fine.
By the way - congrats on the new Dyna. I also have a new FXDC and I still can't get the grin off my face.
I am thinking about added a after market oil cooler to my 2006 dyna glide, I ahve engine guards and can't use the HD oil cooler. Does anybody have a recomendation on a good one to look at?

the TC88 does get hot... and it will freak you out a little when it gets real hot and goes into one of it's cool down modes (the engone feels like it's misfiring).
i thought about the oil cooler too but decided against it. a couple of weeks ago, i found these slip on coolers on eBay.
