Default Front Fork Question

So I am building a custom front end and need an option... from someone who knows suspension parts....

Here is the spec's
2012 Superglide custom
41mm switchback trees
custom fork tubes 24 1/4 length
2010 - 2013 FL fork sliders (shaved for single disc) 25mm axle .
Rico Intimadators
Traxxon springs

Going to a 41mm fork tube size so I can run the Switchback trees and nacelle.
So the plan is to use FXST tubes (fork tube length 24 1/4" (stock is 25.5)
The question is if I go with shorter tubes, will this effectively lower the front end. I want it to be about an 1 1/4" lower.

Other other question is, should I be looking at the FXST damper tube or a FL damper tube. The FXST one seems really long compared to the length of the lower leg.

If this makes any sense to you, please let me know your thoughts on this set up.

Oh don't worry about the front wheel, fender etc...that is taken care of already...
