Disabled; that was actually the first thing I did the day my Power Vision arrived and I married it to the bike. Uncheck that EITMS box.

When EITMS first appeared HD said it was for rider comfort and to reduce the heat radiating from the rear cylinder to the rider, it was not for engine temperature control.

When EITMS is activated 4 conditions have been met:

1. Ambient air temperature or engine temperature has exceeded the set threshold

2. Throttle control is at 0%/idle

3. Speed under 1 MPH

4. Engine RPM under 1200

If your concern is engine cooling there are much more effective methods to reduce engine temperatures; EITMS isn't one of them...

Keep mine on just let it work if I am going to have problems with it would like to deal with them while the bike is new. So far so good turn it on and off its cooler now may turn it off for a while.

when I had my switchback it was on and it worked GREAT..

on my street glide I can turn it on and off at will but since the newer system uses ambient air temp instead of engine temp to determine when it kicks in it was on more than off this past summer.. believe the breaking point is 80° ambient so I shut it off and left it off as we didn't have a hot summer this year

I leave it on. See no reason to turn it off. Many bikes many thousands of miles with zero issue.
