Someone posted this pic over in the Softail section showing a current build of a new Lowrider. Figured the hardcore Dyna guys over here may never come across it so I would repost it here to show what could be made of a new Softail based Lowrider. I kinda like it...think it would look great with a Lucky Daves seat and a few Builtwell parts mixed in. Too bad Harley didn't release this bike with a dual disc setup as the new Sportglide....perhaps a new "Tourglide" ???? Are you listening Harley-Davidson ??????

Not a Dyna...true...but perhaps something the "club style" guys might appreciate. Or the FXRT fairing guys.

I wonder if someone comes out with a frame extension and new swing-arm that puts shocks like the Dyna, if we would stop getting the bitching? A true frame mounted swing-arm and better handling?

LOL. Oops, I'm going to get blasted.

Dave
for what? the look?

why would would someone work that hard to intentionally ruin the handling on the new bikes? they handle better than dynas. dynas feel like trucks in comparison. it's be silly to go back to twin shocks.

people will debate it to they are blue in the face but, fk it... the 2018 handle better, stock... facts. i love my dyna but, we gotta be real.

I posted that over in the softtail section, no need in ruffling feathers here.

I know they handle better and the cosmetics can be changed, but why did they build them so f’n small?People are getting taller not shorter, I just don’t understand HD’s reasoning for cramped little bikes.

Maybe they handle better stock, but I’m willing to bet my Low Rider with Ohlins front and back and superbrace handles better. Granted, you may be able to put money in a softail and exceed my handling, but to what end? My Dyna handles better then I need it to, and better then most riders will leverage.

Plus my Low Rider just looks better. IMO of course. I have no need to “upgrade”. I never ever liked the hardtail look.

I have no problem with the New Design, simply put it's just not a Dyna anymore .. I have owned several Monoshock Rides including my present Indian that handle great .. I also have no intention of parting with my Dyna FXD either .. Not just because it's a Dyna but have put a lot of Labors of Love into it making it my own, and prefer the Simpleness of it being Carbed and have done all the work in Upgrades needed that should no problems with it for a long long time .. And it will Stay my own with the few years I have left riding ..
