Here's a report we did, after testing various types of shocks, full of helpful information.

great info, thank you!

the 490's showed up today, I'm not sure if they can be installed with the factory hardware, looks like I need additional spacers at a minimum, has anyone dealt with this before?

here's some pics, I can tell you the factory sleeve does not fit over the bushing

Well I used the bushing inserts Progressive does NOT recommend for 2000 and later and was able to use the factory hardware. This really lifted my Dyna and its gonna take some getting used to, especially cause I mash everywhere and live in the twistys so I gotta take it easy for a couple weeks.

With the totally new geometry I noticed the Bassani bracket bolt heads are rubbing the swing arm, not bueno but also not sure what to do.

Did you set the sag? Front the odd angle of photo, looks like its nearly fully screwed down, which would lift the bike. Maybe decrease the height to fix the swingarm issue.

I do have those same progressives on another bike. They are good for the money.

for the short term I removed the lock washer and heavily coated the exhaust bracket bolt in loctite, I'll play with the sag and go from there, however, Progressive does not provide a value for maximum sag, for the 1012 and 1013 they say a max of 8.1" spring length so I'm at 8"
