Im starting to rethink the origins of this bloody squeak now. It started again today, I stopped and squirted some silicon spray on the belt to see what would happen. Sound all but went away, but Im not yet convinced as a) the sound comes and goes anyway, and b) I have a loooooooooong squeaky belt history but it has NEVER sounded like this before, but then I guess you never say never......

fugging motorbikes!!!

Just finished reading this,I've got the same thing and driving me mad.So far I've replaced wheel bearings, rebuilt front calipers, replaced brake pads and rotors.Just heard it again the other nite.It will come out of nowhere, and always at idle when almost at a stop.I will let you know if I ever track it down. Please do the same, good luck.

Found it. Yep, wheel bearing. And the bloody thing disintegrated as soon as I got the wheel off. Now stuck with trying to remove the outer race.

Large socket? Forget that, just went for a larger bearing puller 😊
