Default Cables ... RANT!!!

I have to vent.

I have been trying to put 14" apes on my bike for the last 3 months.

I have the bars, the brake cable andthe throttle cable. I'm missing the clutch and idle cable. Originally I left it in the hands ofmy dealer to find all the parts. Their initial 2 week delivery time turned into a month, then two, then I told them to bite me and I would get them myself.

That's when I went to a local indy to order the cables through Barnetts. Barnetts says they will guarantee next day shipment of their cables for $8 extra per cable. I was very clear with the indy shop that that was the route I wanted to take. Both through phone conversations, and then again when I emailed them with the part numbers.

That was June 5th. I sent another email to the indy shop on the 15th asking if they came in and was told they shipped June 6th and should be arriving soon. They still weren't in today, so I called the indy and had them get a tracking number from Barnetts.

I found out they shipped on June 20th and are expected on June 29th. [:@] I don't know who made the mistake, but I sent my indy an email and will call them tomorrow if I don't hear anything back today.

I absolutely hate how incompetent some people are!!!!!!!!!!

I live in NS, Canada ... Are my problems unique to Canada? .. Do I have to live in the US to get parts in a timely fashion. What am I doing wrong?

can't comment on why the stuff didn't ship when it was supposed to. but for overnight shipping, yeah, you are screwed. The chit needs to go through customs ya know.

Overnight? .... I wouldn't even dream of that, .... Something between overnight and 3 months would be nice tho.

Hello RazorFXDB;

I can assure you that Canada does not have a lock on delayed shipments. Sometimes it is due to availability from the manufacture and sometimes it is carelessness and/ or total disregard on behalf of the middle men that are involved. Poor service does not start at the Canadian border and spread in a northerly direction. We have plenty of late or delayed arrivals in the USA. I have been waiting for some time now on a rear stoplight switch and ss break line my self.

Good luck with it.
