I have a FXDB that I would like to add a tach to. I do not not like a tach high like the FXD speedo (then again, it would be far easier to see here than down on the tank where I really have to take my eyes off of the road). It would be great if I can get a tach like a Low Rider, but guess that is not really an option because of the tank, or does anyone make something like that for an FXDB? Alternatively, I guess that I can get the integrated tach/speedo, but the problem here is that the speedo is digital, and if I not easy to read that low on the tank.
I don't find I have any issues seeing the analog tach and digital speed readout; it's pretty easy to pick up without dropping your eyes to it. I do have a tank lift, so I'm sure that helps with that visibility. The HD #70900274 would most likely be the simplest solution.
The wiring may be of concern MMH going from fxdb to fxdl dash. Reason being, the dual gauge setup has a connector for each that merges into and then into the bike. You would have to find a way to get the other plugged in essentially. I want to go the opposite way, from my fxdl to the single gauge lol.
It may depend on what year your bike is but .......
I have a 2009 FXDB and the lowrider console fits - you don't have to do anything to the tank itself. I also had to get the lowrider "dummy" lights and change out the handlebar clamps. Hope you can see it in the photo.

Mine is a 2008. Dealer said that they lowrider console would not fit. I guess that it would not be hard to get one & check it out myself. Surely they would take it back if it would not fit.
I swapped the speedo on my 09 Rocker C for a Daytona Digital.. thought I wouldn't like the digital vs. analog but turned out I did. Plus I had gained a gear indicator and other functions.
