well, my 2015 FXDB was stolen Thursday night after a ride. I never lock the forks overnight, but will with the next one. Whoever took it grabbed it from the 3 story garage at my apartment. Sucks. Loved that bike. Posted about it on social media Friday morning when I discovered it was missing. Cameras to the garage were knocked out during the last big storm and never fixed. Posted about it on social media and got tons of shares and reposts. Got a few leads that never panned out. Filed a police report and insurance claim. The search begins for a new bike.
Thats horrible. I dont live in a big city for a reason.
Sadly, that reason is, thats where almost all the crime occurs. I cannot fathom someone coming in and simply stealing property that doesnt belong to them. But, I live in a neighborhood where we dont lock doors..
I hope, by some miracle, you do recover your bike!

it’s been a couple of days. I’m not getting my hopes up. It’s probably in 1k pieces by now. Thankfully I had full coverage.

Thats the worst part. Its sold, essentially, for scrap. Never mind that someone worked a lot to buy it, made memories with it.
Some jackhole comes along, takes it, sells it for pennies on the dollar.
Man, I am sorry to hear about this.
sorry to hear about your bike. Thieves suck. Many years ago my friend was staying in a hotel with his truck and trailer in the parking lot. His Road King was in the trailer. He comes out and the trailer had been stolen. He filed a report and about 6 months later the police raided a crack dealers place and it was actually sitting in his living room, practically in the same condition as the day it was stolen, Not being bikers they could not figure out how to beat the security system. He got it back and still rides it today. Hopefully you will get yours too.

How I despise a thief; they took her and stripped her within hours, to sell her as 'parts'. They'll be on eBay or even here on HDF.
You know how we once upon a time handled a horse thief, eh?
I am sorry your ride is gone; so much effort and time, lost; and some piece of filth decides it belongs to him. I'm glad you had insurance coverage; but it doesn't ever change the violation, the 'rape', as it were.
Time to bring back the short drop, and the sudden stop...
