Default Small Hard Cases

Looking for some hard cases for my Dyna. Something small that would basically fit a messenger bag with a laptop—looking for a bag to commute with, rather than tour with. Anyone have some? Thanks.

Hardstreet make some small hard cases.

I have their Slimbags. Honestly, while they are decent quality, nicely finished and did the job I wanted, I can't recommend them 100 percent, as they are not very watertight and, installed with their "AlloyTech" brackets, they developed stress cracks on the ABS back plate where the bolts mount while on a cross-country trip.

One crack was so bad the bolts actually pulled out, and the box nearly hit the road at speed. I made some extra support plates to help spread the stresses, and managed to get them functional again for the rest of the trip, but I'd rate them as light-use around-town quality stuff.

Thanks. Super close to what I'm looking for. So far Vikings are the closest, and these, but I'd rather shell out my dough to a US-manufactured company. I'm really looking for something I can do my 40-mile daily commute with my laptop. LeatherPros retro bags are ideal but have no lock, which can make for easily losing a laptop.

Nothing better than a Pelican case. Maybe one will work for you.

I had theseBig Al’s bags before I changed to a larger bag system. Sounds like it would work for what you are wanting. Also US made.

That looks like a Pelican case if I ever saw one.

They are. Big Al’s makes the cages and sells as a kit with the cases, hardware etc.
