Dyna Clutch Interchangeability
Is there any difference dimensionally between the 2007-2010 vs. the 2015-2017 clutch assemblies and would the later clutch be able to be retrofitted to the earlier bikes. One difference appears to be an improved inner clutch hub with a cast in center to stop it from coming loose. I can't find any information on parts interchange for a 2009 Dyna Fat Bob.
Not 100% sure but there might be some changes to the main transmission shaft...would have to check part numbers....
i would go to Ronnie’s HD parts finder. And pull the clutch/ trans parts numbers and compare. If it’s the same then I would think it can be switched. Q. Is this a cheaper option then say a baker or other high end after market clutch?

I have the 2009 Dyna parts book and part numbers differ for sure for the clutch hub, but a lot of the other parts are the same. I wondered if, in spite of that, whether there was any physical or size difference, with the new part numbers simply strengthened for the later engines. The reason is there is a low mile takeoff available for a good price and if it fits, may be worth getting.
