We've tested a bunch of shocks and put together a comparison report on them at this LINK.
Also included in the report are some fundamentals on how shocks work and what to look for. You may find it useful.
We did not test those particular shocks, but we did test the newer version of them, they did not make the comparison chart (because there are better shocks for less $)
I know my stock shocks that have the holes in bottom require a spanner wrench. If they are ones like the pick I posted they are hand adjustable and go by clicks. If yours has the holes and uncertain if they are on the same setting you can reset them. For instance I wanted to stiffen mine and after 3 clicks using the spanner wrench the preload went back to the softest setting and you will know that’s what happened instead of a click it was more of a slam of sorts. When that happens on both sides now they are both even and you can start all over.
when I first bought the scoot A buddy of mine who is a former Harley mechanic just looked at the shocks and said they were on the softest setting. Not sure what he was looking at but he was right. After a ride with the lady I knew I needed to get out the spanner and stiffen em up.
