The stock pads may cost more, but they last longer and offer superior performance in all conditions. Some aftermarket pads work well in some conditions, then may be dangerous in other conditions. Your call.

I have lydalls and so far (about 1000k) they work really well, good feel at the lever and more bit on the rotor

I can recommend EBC organic pads if you want a good pad that doesn't hurt the wallet, however, if you shop around on ebay you can usually find new quality organic pads for very cheap due to overstock.

Naaah, HD have one of the worst brake setup in the market and I dont belive the pads are any better. Im skeptical to your "superior performance in all condition" comment lol

I thought all EBC's moto pads were sintered. You know the numbers for the organic ones?

Fair enough. I understand that HD braking systems are whoa-fully inadequate, but they DO still work, even being of lesser quality and spec. Maybe their initial bite isn't as fierce as everyone else's HH compound pads, but they also don't eat rotors, nor go away if the temp is 20F. Or, in the rain...

+1 on Lyndall brake pads...not cheap but great feel and loads of confidence when it's time to hit the brakes. Here's a link...they sell three different compounds depending on your needs and riding style.
