Default Compensator Shim

Some say you need it, others say you don't. My Indy recommends it. Thoughts?

Not sure. Understand it may improve vibration.

You need to measure the comp assy. That will tell you if you need a shim. I don't have that spec with me right now.

If the stack height is low you can add an extra spring if it's the SE type.

The current kit (I installed on my 08 Ultra this past spring) had no shims, the part had been redesigned and they are not included in the kit from HD, at least on the SE touring upgrade.

Either the sprockets are aligned or they aren't. I don't care what some random service bulletin says. If they aren't, fix it. If they are, have a beer.

yea everyone should just ignore all service bulletins from Harley. They don't mean anything. Especially ignore the service bulletins on the new comp nut torque, really, the service bulletins are meaningless.
